Terms of Service

Rules and responsibilities for using openings.dev and its public static data.

Effective date: August 17, 2026

These terms describe the current scope and conditions for using openings.dev.

1. Service scope

openings.dev is a search and discovery interface for technology job listings published through supported public GitHub communities. It links each result to its original public source.

Openings does not accept applications, act as a recruiter or employer, verify employers, or guarantee that a listing is complete, accurate, safe, or still open. Check the original listing before relying on its details or taking a next step.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • disrupt or misuse the service or its supporting infrastructure;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data;
  • use the service to mislead, harass, discriminate against, or harm others; or
  • use the service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

3. Public content and attribution

Listings, repository details, and GitHub account information originate from public sources. Openings presents that information for discovery and preserves links to the source. Inclusion does not imply verification, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.

Rights in third-party content remain with their respective rights holders. If you believe indexed information is inaccurate or should be removed, use the content correction or removal form or email [email protected].

4. Static data and availability

The site and its public static data can change, be delayed, become incomplete, or be unavailable. Index coverage is limited to supported sources and is not a complete record of all technology jobs. Features, file formats, and indexing coverage can change or be discontinued.

5. External services and applications

Openings links to repositories, profiles, listings, and other third-party services. Those destinations control their own content, availability, privacy practices, and application processes. Review their terms before using them or submitting information.

6. No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties to the extent permitted by applicable law. Use your own judgment when evaluating a listing, organization, or external destination.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms can change as the product changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current published version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Contact

For questions about the service or these terms, email [email protected].
